NBA Confidence Pool for 2026-27 — free for friends

A confidence pool asks two things each week: who wins each game, and how sure you are. Your surest pick carries the most points. On Sportpoolz, an NBA confidence pool ranks the same weekly national-TV games an NBA pick'em pool picks — free, and with no money involved.

How an NBA confidence pool works

Each Monday–Sunday week has a slate of games — the same national-TV games an NBA pick'em pool uses, about ten in a normal week. You pick a winner in each, straight up, then put those picks in order from most to least confident. With ten games on the slate, your top pick is worth 10 points, the next 9, and so on down to 1, each value used once.

A correct pick earns its value and a wrong one earns nothing, so a week is won as much by the order as by the picks. Nothing saves until you press Submit Picks, and nobody is eliminated: the season's point total decides the champion.

What the manager will set

The point values follow the size of each week's slate on their own, so there is nothing to configure about the ranking. As with every pool, the manager chooses the weeks it covers, how many members it takes (2 to 30), and how the week's winners and the season champion are recognised.

Key dates for the 2026-27 season

These are the season's dates to plan around:

  • Opening night: Tuesday, October 20, 2026
  • All-Star break: February 19–21, 2027
  • Regular season ends: Sunday, April 11, 2027

A sample ranking

Take a week with ten national-TV games on the slate.

  • You rank a home favorite against a struggling team first, at 10 points. It wins: 10.
  • You put a rivalry game you could see going either way at 1. It goes the other way: you lose a single point's worth.
  • You finish 7–3, and because your three misses carried 1, 2 and 4, you score 48 of the 55 available.
  • A friend with the same 7–3 record who put a 9 on an upset scores far less — the order separated you, not the record.

Common questions

Why rank only the national-TV games rather than every NBA game?

Ranking fifty games a week is not a pool anyone finishes. Ten games gives the ranking real weight — each value from 1 to 10 matters — and keeps the weekly job to a few minutes.

Who should pick NBA confidence over NBA pick'em?

The picks are the same; the ranking is the extra step. Two players with the same record can finish a week far apart, so it suits a group that wants more to think about than who wins.
