It's a way to make every game day more fun with friends, family, or coworkers.
Is Sportpoolz really free?
Yes! Sportpoolz is 100% free during our beta period. Create up to 5 active pools and invite up to 30 players per pool. No credit card required, no hidden fees.
Is this real-money gambling?
No. Sportpoolz is all about fun and friendly competition — there's no real money involved, no entry fees, and no payouts. You're playing for bragging rights and good times, whether that's picking winners or proving your sports knowledge. It's entertainment only.
What sports do you support?
Currently supporting NFL with full features. NBA, MLB, NHL, and NCAA sports are coming soon as we expand beyond our beta. Join now to help shape which sports we add next!
What if I don't know much about sports?
No worries! Our pools are all about having fun, so you don't need to be a sports expert to play. You can make your picks based on team colors, mascots, or even a gut feeling. Plenty of office-pool champions have never watched a full game.
Is there a mobile app?
Our website is fully mobile-responsive and works perfectly on all devices. Players can make picks and check standings from any smartphone or tablet browser. No app download required!
Pools
How do I join a pool?
Joining a pool is easy: sign up free, then join through an invite link from a friend or browse available public pools. The moment you join, you can start making picks for the current week.
How do I create my own pool?
Head to the Pool Hub and click "Create a Pool". Pick your sport and format, set your rules, and share the invite link with your group. You control the settings — format, scoring, deadlines — so the pool runs exactly the way your group likes it.
How long does it take to set up a pool?
Under 30 seconds! Simply sign up, click "Create Pool", choose your sport and settings, and share the invite link. Our lightning-fast setup wizard guides you through everything.
Can I invite friends, family, or coworkers?
Of course — that's the best part! Once you've created a pool you get an invite link to share with anyone. They click it, join your pool, and the trash talk can begin. It's a great way to add excitement to game day.
How many players can join a pool?
During our beta, pools can have up to 30 players - perfect for office pools, friend groups, and small leagues. Higher limits are coming soon as we scale the platform.
How many pools can I join?
There's no limit! You can join as many pools as you want — one with the office, one with the family, one with your college friends. Just make sure you keep up with your picks in each of them.
Making Picks
When is the deadline for making picks?
Pick deadlines vary by pool settings. Most pools require picks to be submitted before the first game of the week starts. Check your pool's settings for specific deadlines.
Can I change my picks after submitting?
You can modify your picks up until the deadline. Once a game has started, picks for that game are locked and cannot be changed.
What happens if I forget to make my picks?
Life happens — and our auto pick feature has your back. If you miss a week, auto picks can make selections for you based on your preferred strategy, so you're still in the game instead of taking a zero. You might not get your top choices, but it beats missing out entirely.
What are quick picks?
Quick picks are pre-configured selection strategies that fill in your picks with one click — all favorites, all underdogs, home teams, and more. They're useful when you're short on time or want to try a specific strategy for the week.
Scoring & Winners
How does automated scoring work?
Scores update automatically from official sources in real-time. You can choose from various scoring formats including straight wins, confidence points, or spread picks. No manual entry needed!
How are winners determined?
Winners are determined by pick accuracy and total points under your pool's rules — most correct picks, most confidence points, or best record against the spread, depending on the format. Standings update live as games finish, so everyone always knows where they stand.
What happens if there's a tie?
Tiebreakers are determined by pool settings. Common tiebreakers include: most correct picks, earliest submission time, or head-to-head record. Check your pool settings for the specific tiebreaker rules.
Your Account
Can I have multiple accounts?
Yes! Sportpoolz supports account switching, allowing you to manage multiple accounts from a single login. This is useful for managing family member accounts or separate personal/work accounts.
How do I reset my password?
Click "Forgot Password" on the sign-in page. Enter your email address and we'll send you a link to reset your password.
