Thirty-two teams, eighteen weeks and a game almost every Thursday, Sunday and Monday — the NFL is built for a weekly pool. Sportpoolz runs five pool formats on the real schedule, grades every pick from the final scores, and costs your group nothing.
Free forever — no credit card, no money changing hands.
An NFL week starts with Thursday night, peaks on Sunday and closes with Monday night. Every pool on Sportpoolz follows that shape: each game locks at its own kickoff, so a Thursday pick has to be in by Thursday while the Sunday games stay open for the weekend. Bye weeks thin the schedule in the middle of the season, and the pool simply covers the games that are played.
Pick the format that suits how much your group wants to think each week:
Not ready to run a whole pool? A challenge puts one game, or a handful, to a friend with a single link, and it grades itself when the games finish.
The create page asks for a name, the weeks the pool covers and the format. The format is fixed once the pool exists; almost everything else — weekly winners, tiebreakers, the member cap from 2 to 30 — is a setting the manager can change afterwards, though the cap locks once games begin.
A season already under way is no reason to wait. A partial-season pool starts at the current week, so a group that forms in October plays every remaining Sunday instead of looking at weeks it already missed.
Season-long formats run through the regular season; the playoff format starts fresh in January, so it is the one pool nobody can be late to.
Pick'em, usually. Everyone picks a winner in every game, nobody is knocked out, and there is nothing to learn first. Groups that want more to argue about move to against the spread or confidence the next season.
Yes. Each pool is separate, with its own format, picks and standings, so a group can run a pick'em pool and a survivor pool side by side with the same people.
Creating a pool takes about two minutes, and inviting your group is one link.
