Anyone can go 10–6 in an NFL week. A confidence pool asks which ten you actually believed in. You rank every pick, the sure things carry the big numbers, and the standings reward the order as much as the record. Sportpoolz runs it free, with every pick graded from the final scores.
Free forever — no credit card, no money changing hands.
Each NFL week you pick a straight-up winner in every game, then put those picks in order. With sixteen games on the schedule the top of your list is worth 16 and the bottom is worth 1, each value used once. A correct pick earns its value; a wrong one earns nothing.
The NFL schedule adds two wrinkles. Bye weeks shorten the list, so the values run only as high as that week's game count. And the whole week is submitted together, with nothing saved until you press Submit Picks — so the Thursday night game has to be ranked before it kicks off, alongside games that will not be played until Sunday and Monday.
The ranking is the format, so the values look after themselves. The manager sets the rest:
A confidence pool covers regular-season weeks. Start one before any week's Thursday game and that week counts.
Four teams are on their bye, so the week has fourteen games and values 1 to 14.
It depends on the game count. A sixteen-game week tops out at 136 points; a fourteen-game week, with byes, tops out at 105. That is why weekly winners are compared within a week, never across weeks.
Not after it kicks off. A game that has started keeps the value you submitted for it, so rank the whole week, Thursday night included, before that first kickoff.
Creating a pool takes about two minutes, and inviting your group is one link.
